Downtown, Chico
Our first cafe opened in 2021 with the goal of creating a space for community. We have three floors of indoor cafe seating plus a rooftop patio with great views of downtown Chico. We initially imagined the shop primarily as a coffee shop, but as it developed and we found our chef, Nathan Johnson, it grew into a coffee-focused cafe and restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch during the day and then beer, wine, and shareable plates in the evening.

Originally built in 1893, this historic downtown Chico building has housed many different businesses over the years. We started a complete renovation of the building in 2018 keeping only the floor and side walls intact.
Our best friend and college roommate, Trevor Miller, and his team at Form Design+Build helped design a space that seamlessly blends the new plus the old—paying homage to the history of the building by exposing the original brick walls and showcasing vintage exterior dental molding, while introducing exposed steel framing and other modern finishes.
Our roots are in coffee roasting, so we start by offering an excellent coffee drinking experience. Choose between all the classics or try something new with one of our seasonal house-made syrups—like pistachio rose or juniper sage. If you’re hungry we’ve got some great seasonal options for breakfast and lunch made with locally sourced ingredients. During the evenings we offer some shareable plates—great as appetizers or a dinner with friends—and a few wine and beer options.
